By cataloguing the largest run of wagyu sires to go to market, we are hoping to give our existing and new customers a large choice of bulls at commercial rates.
We are very proud of this year’s lineup of bulls, who boast an average marble score of +2.6 (nearly double breed average) this includes 170 bulls with a marble score over +2.
At the same time, we are also focused on growth traits, and this crop of bulls has an average carcase weight EBV in the top 22%. As such, the entire catalogue of bulls averages in the top 6% for both the F1 Index and the Breeder Feeder Index.
We believe, with this balance between elite marbling and strong carcase traits, this is the best lineup of bulls we have presented to date.
All our bulls are tested and ready to work. They are freeze branded and have received a full treatment schedule including, testing for pestivirus, treatment with pestigard, vibrio vax, selenium LA, 7 in 1. Whether you are looking for extremely high marbling bulls with moderate growth for the F1 market, or high-growth bulls with more maternal traits, then we have the bull for you.
2025 bull listing and pedigree will be available in Breedplan from July.
Breeding Focus 2025 Bull Sale Data
Trent Bridge has a relentless focus on breeding high marbling cattle. However, we also recognise that producers still get paid on weight. In simple terms, our breeding goal for our bulls is to produce a large volume of future sires which have high marbling and moderate growth. The 2024 drop of bull calves are sitting exactly where we want them to be with an average marble score of the sale bulls at +2.6 (nearly double the breed average) and an average carcase weight in the top 22% of the breed.
